3T Energy Group has appointed Niels Meissner to help deliver its ambitious global growth plans.
The new executive vice president will be responsible for expanding the Group’s global reach in key oil and gas territories including the Americas, China, the Middle East and Africa, as well as strengthening existing customer relationships.
Niels has a wealth of experience in the oil and gas sector having worked in senior executive roles in the U.S.A., Middle East and Africa for the past 13 years. Prior to 3T, Niels served as the vice president of business development and marketing at global drilling solutions giant, MHWirth. Before that Niels headed up the sales and business development division at National Oilwell Varco helping to almost double sales for the business across the Middle East and Africa.
As well as a degree in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, Niels holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago. He joins 3T Energy Group as executive vice president of global sales and marketing and will sit on the executive board helping to drive the Group forward.
3T Energy Group combines the expertise of advanced simulator developer and manufacturer, Drilling Systems with leading energy training providers, AIS Training and Survivex and virtual technology specialist, Neutron VR to bring a radically different ‘blended learning’ approach to energy sector training. This approach uses cutting-edge technology such as simulators, e-learning, virtual reality and integrated software, alongside traditional training, to increase the competence levels of energy sector personnel and reduce ‘skills fade’ by ensuring skills and confidence levels are maintained and remain fresh.
